About Bombora

Bombora Surf School is a First Nations owned and operated Surfing Australia–accredited surf school, delivering high-quality surf coaching from beginner to advanced, including all-abilities and adaptive surfers.

Operating under a Gold Coast City permit at Tallebudgera, Palm Beach and Tugan, Bombora offers cultural connection, and elite-level coaching.

Founder, Brook Silvester, has over 40 years experience as an ocean-water cinematographer and surfer and is a qualified APOLA lifeguard.

Our head coach Zane Silvester is a professional sponsored surfer with Volcom & Kamikaze, APOLA lifeguard, Surfing Australia registered coach, and multi-year finalist at the Australian Indigenous Surfing Titles.

We also have India Silvester, who is also a qualified lifeguard and specialises in teaching beginners to intermediate.

Both Zane and India are certified para-surf coahes

All sessions are led with deep ocean knowledge, high-performance technique training, and a passion for empowering the next generation of surfers of all abilities.
